Penn State: Mike McQueary to Miss Nebraska Game Due to Threats

Share

Amidst countless calls for Penn State assistant coach Mike McQueary to join now-former head coach Joe Paterno in being no longer employed by the program, the school's athletic department has issued a statement that due to multiple threats made against McQueary, "the University has decided it would be in the best interest of all for [him] not to be in attendance at Saturday's Nebraska game."

Threats or no, it's hard to argue that it would be good for anyone if McQueary were on the sidelines this weekend. What remains to be seen is whether he ever will be again.
