Creative Services Department
Job Title: Creative Services (Promotions) Intern
Reports To: Marketing Department (VP of Marketing, Writer/Producer Promotions)
Hours Required: 10 - 20 per week
Qualifications:
College students working for earned credits and pursuing degrees in television production with an interest in marketing or related degrees preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Proficient creative writing skills. Knowledge of sports, both locally and nationally. Must be a creative, professional, and motivated individual. Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Use of Photoshop, online and offline editing a plus.
Responsibilities:
Assist with creative services production process including brainstorm ideas, write scripts, plan and attend production shoots, and produce spots. Research information for upcoming games, programming, and events. Create/maintain promotions video library and database. Assist with voice-over sessions. Assist with sales presentations, billboards, opens and other sponsorship elements. Pitch promotions for future media planning.
Curriculum:
Marketing and promotions: branding, features vs benefits, strategy, call to action, and return on investment. Pre-Production: Creative brief, research, marketing tools & techniques, brainstorming, script writing and story boarding. Production: Promotion shoot and graphic design. Post Production: Screening/logging footage, re-writing, editing, and sound design.
