BOX SCORE

Managing Dario Saric's 24-minute guideline was the least of the Sixers' troubles against the Nets.

The Nets beat the Sixers, 141-118, on Tuesday night at the Wells Fargo Center. The Nets' total was the most scored by any team at the Wells Fargo Center in history.

The Sixers gave up 40 points in the first quarter and trailed, 81-53, at halftime. The Sixers' previous first-half worst scored by an opponent was 70 by the Cavaliers just last week.

The Nets pushed their lead up to 35 points in the third. They were in cruise control for the fourth.

The Sixers gave up a season high in points (previously 136 by the Pistons on March 5). On the other hand, the Nets set a season-high in three-point percentage (51.6) and largest lead (39 points).

The Sixers dropped to 28-50. The Nets moved up to 19-59.

Injury updates
Saric is being limited to 24 minutes because of plantar fasciitis in his left foot, according to Brett Brown. He played only 19 minutes in the blowout loss. Sergio Rodriguez (left hamstring strain) will miss the next game and is scheduled to be reevaluated on Friday. Robert Covington has been receiving treatment (right knee) at the Sixers' training complex. He watched the game from the bench. Joel Embiid remains in Los Angeles for rehab from his left knee surgery and was not present for the team photo taken before the game.

Poythress checking boxes
Brown measures the Sixers with three criteria: pace, space and defense. He would like to see a player fit two or three of those categories. Poythress, who scored 10 points, checked off a few with a team-high seven rebounds and a three-pointer made.

Fultz in the building
Projected top pick in the 2017 NBA draft Markelle Fultz sat courtside for this game. CSNPhilly's John Clark caught up with the Washington point guard (see story), who is slated at No. 1 in many mock drafts.

Up next
The Sixers will host the Bulls (38-39) on Thursday. The Sixers beat the Bulls, 117-107, on March 24 in Chicago. The Bulls have bounced back and are on a four-game winning streak.
