The Sixers are severely limited for Thursday night’s road game against the San Antonio Spurs.
Nerlens Noel (upper-respiratory infection), Robert Covington (right hand contusion) and Joel Embiid (left knee contusion) are all out, which left the Sixers with nine players available. Embiid, who was named Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month again (see story), will be reevaluated before his status is determined for Saturday night’s game against the Miami Heat.
With limited players at his disposal, Sixers head coach Brett Brown went with a starting lineup of T.J. McConnell, Nik Stauskas Dario Saric, Ersan Ilyasova and Jahlil Okafor against the Spurs.
