Eagles Injury Update: Allen Barbre still not practicing

As the Eagles began preparations Wednesday for this weekend’s game against the Atlanta Falcons, they were without their starting left guard.

Allen Barbre (hamstring) did not practice with the team Wednesday, head coach Doug Pederson said.

“We’re still on a weekly basis with him,” Pederson said.

Barbre missed the Giants' game the week after leaving the Cowboys' game after just nine snaps. In his place, veteran Stefen Wisniewski has played well. From the time of his arrival, Wisniewski hasn’t been quiet about his desire to return to a starting role. On a one-year deal, this is Wisniewski’s chance to prove to the other 31 teams that he’s still a starter.

Brent Celek, who fractured a rib in the Giants' game, also did not practice Wednesday, “but should be good for the game.”

Special teamers, safety Terrence Brooks (hamstring) and linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill (hamstring) also did not practice. Brooks suffered his injury during the Giants' game. Grugier-Hill got hurt against the Vikings and has missed the last two games.

Pederson said everyone else on the team practiced, which includes defensive tackle Bennie Logan (groin).

Logan returned to practice last week as a limited participant but was ruled out for the Giants' game late in the week. He has missed the last three games; Beau Allen has filled in.
