BOX SCORE

DENVER — A goal from Roman Lyubimov and Brayden Schenn’s fifth marker over his past three games ensured the Flyers’ win streak reached 10 games on Wednesday night.

Those goals broke a third-period tie as the Flyers defeated the Colorado Avalanche, 4-3, at the Pepsi Center.

The last time the Flyers won 10 straight games was in the fall of 1985.

Goals from Michael Del Zotto and Wayne Simmonds produced a 2-2 tie going into the period.

The game was Part 2 of an NBC Wednesday Night Rivalry national broadcast.

The Avs came into play 3-6-1 in their last 10 games. They were 4-2-1 when tied after two periods.

Line matching
Flyers coach Dave Hakstol used Claude Giroux’s unit head to head against Nathan MacKinnon’s line with Ivan Provorov and Andrew MacDonald on defense.

Notable goals
Two games since rejoining the lineup as a healthy scratch, defenseman Del Zotto rebounded his own deflection out of the air into the Avs’ net in the second period for a 1-0 lead.

Goalie report
Steve Mason said he felt refreshed after a game off. He made 26 saves and survived a furious last-ditch effort by the Avalanche. Mason's counterpart, Calvin Pickard, was facing the Flyers for the first time.

Power play
The first one saw three good shots on Pickard. The Flyers’ second power play was discombobulated. Overall, the Flyers were 0 for 3.
