OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Sixers and Thunder entered Chesapeake Arena on Tuesday clearly headed in opposite directions.
The Sixers sported a 15-45 record while the Thunder brought a Western Conference-leading 45-15 mark into the contest.
The Sixers were unable to do anything to shake the Thunder’s place atop the West, suffering a 125-92 loss. The defeat was the Sixers’ 15th in a row, tying the second-longest skid in franchise history which took place in 1994.
Turning point
There was no specific moment when the game got out of hand. The Thunder always appeared to have control. It was just a matter of how long the Sixers could keep the deficit from getting too large.
The Sixers trailed by as many as 37 points in the game.
Follow the leader
Kevin Durant is No. 1 in the league in scoring with 31.6 points per game. Durant hit his average and then some, scoring 42 points on 14 of 20 shooting before sitting out the entire fourth quarter.

Russell Westbrook recorded his eighth career triple-double and second this season with 13 points, 10 rebounds and 14 assists.
James Anderson made six three-pointers on his way to 20 points, his second-highest scoring performance this season. Anderson’s six threes tied a career high.
Stat-egic
The disparity at the foul line was astronomical. OKC was 32 of 43 from the charity stripe, as Durant made 12 of 16 on his own.
The Sixers were 18 for 26 at the line as a team.
Take a bow
Seven-foot center Byron Mullens had his best showing since joining the Sixers at the trade deadline.
Mullens scored 15 points and grabbed six rebounds. He was especially impressive from behind the arc, where he made 3 of 4 shots.

The Sixers will have three days between games before hosting Utah on Saturday.
The Sixers suffered a 105-100 loss to the Jazz in Salt Lake City on Feb. 12. It was Jazz guard Alec Burks who crushed the Sixers in that game, scoring 26 points. He scored 10 of his points in the final two minutes and went 13 of 14 at the foul line.
