INDEPENDENCE, Ohio -- LeBron James won't debate whether Golden State's Stephen Curry should be the NBA's MVP this season. That's an indisputable slam dunk.
However, James might argue about the award's meaning.
One day after Curry was voted the first unanimous winner in 61 years, James, who finished third behind Curry and San Antonio's Kawhi Leonard, said the honor can be interpreted in different ways.
"I think sometimes the word `valuable' or best player of the year, you can have different results," said James, a four-time MVP. "You know, that's not taking anything from anyone that's ever won the award,'" (see full story).
Heat: Dragic assessed technical for Game 4 incident
TORONTO -- Miami guard Goran Dragic has been assessed a technical foul and fined $2,000 for swinging at Toronto guard Cory Joseph under the basket late in the fourth quarter of Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinals.
The NBA announced the ruling Wednesday after a review.
"It was just a physical play," Dragic told reporters Wednesday. "I was trying to get a rebound and he was holding my arm. I kind of tried to let it go. I swung it a bit but there was no contact, nothing."

Mavericks: Harris has surgeries on left toe, thumb
DALLAS -- Mavericks guard Devin Harris has had his left big toe and left thumb surgically repaired.
Harris had both surgeries Tuesday in New York. They were performed by different doctors at the Hospital for Special Surgery.
The toe bothered Harris for much of the season, and he missed 10 consecutive games into early March. He had a bone problem fixed in the same foot three years ago.
During the playoffs, Harris played with his thumb heavily taped and coach Rick Carlisle said he had a torn ligament.
Harris averaged 7.6 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 64 games. It was his 12th NBA season.
