Halladay leaves game after two innings

ST. LOUISPhillies pitcher Roy Halladay left his start against St. Louis after just two innings and 36 pitches Sunday afternoon. There was no immediate word on why Halladay exited. The righthander gave up two singles, a walk and a grand slam to Yadier Molina in the first inning then had a 1-2-3 second inning.

Halladay, who turned 35 earlier this month, allowed five runs in six innings in taking the loss in his last start against Washington. After that game, he was asked if he was healthy.

Yeah, he said. Yeah.

Joe Savery replaced Halladay on Sunday.

It was 90 degrees at game time. Halladay has had issues with the heat before. It was unclear what the problem was Sunday. More on Halladays condition as it becomes available.
