Phillies (10-5) vs. Brewers (8-8), 7:05 p.m. WPHL

Starting Pitchers
Phillies: Roy Halladay (2-0, 1.23)The right-hander is coming off a complete game victory against the Nats last Wednesday in which he allowed two runsboth in the ninth inningand six hits. He faced the Brewers once last season and allowed four runs (all on solo homers) in seven innings.

Brewers: Randy Wolf (1-2, 4.32)The former Phils lefty is coming off his best start of the season. Last Thursday in Pittsburgh, Wolf allowed just three hits in 6 23 scoreless innings. He struck out 10as many as he had in his first two starts combinedin the 4-1 victory.

Previous games
The Phillies dropped the series opener, 6-3, in 12 innings. They rallied to tie the game in the ninth on a pinch single by Pete Orr, but Kyle Kendrick allowed three runs amidst some defensive issues in extras. Placido Polanco and Ryan Howard had two hits apiece for the Phils.

Head-to-head
The Phillies went 5-1 against the Brewers last season. Monday's series opener was the first matchup this season.

Who's hot?
Polanco has hit safely in seven straight games, including four multi-hit efforts. Closer Jose Contreras has yet to allow a run in six innings this season. Antonio Bastardo also has not yielded a run in six appearances, totaling 6 23 innings.

Storylines
Can the Phillies win to avoid losing a series for the first time all year? How does Halladay respond after throwing 123 pitches in last weeks complete game? The Phillies could use a strong effort out of him after Mondays extra-inning game taxed the bullpen a bit. Keep an eye on Howard (who is 2-for-15 lifetime against Wolf) and Carlos Ruiz (5-for-8 with three walks against him).

Sound off
Are you concerned about the Phillies losing five of their six series openers so far this season, with the only win being a miracle rally against the Astros on Opening Day?
