Starting Pitchers
Phillies: Kyle Kendrick (7-5, 3.24) pitched six strong innings in Washington on Friday, allowing two runs and five hits. He is 4-4 with a 2.98 ERA in 10 lifetime starts against the Mets, including an 8-5 win on July 17.
Mets: Mike Pelfrey (6-10, 4.61) is 0-1 with a 4.64 ERA in four August starts, including a 6-1 loss to Milwaukee on Friday. He is 0-2 with a 7.58 ERA in four starts against the Phillies this season.
