Phillies (33-20) at Nationals (22-30), 1:05 p.m. on CSN

Starting Pitchers
Phillies: Roy Halladay (6-3, 2.35 ERA) has won his last 10 decisions against the Nationals and has thrown complete-game wins in his last two starts against the Nats. Halladay struggled some in his last start. He gave up 11 hits, but the Phils won the 19-inning marathon against the Reds.

Nationals: Livan Hernandez (3-6, 3.71 ERA) has been stellar at home. The veteran is 3-2, but boasts a 1.80 ERA. In both losses he didn't get any runs in support.

Previous games
The Phillies have won seven of their last 10, but lost the series finale to the Mets. The Nationals have lost seven of eight and are coming off of a series loss to the Padres.

Head-to-head
The Phillies lost the first matchup against the Nationals this season on April 12, but have since won five straight against them and are 44-16 since the start of the 2008 season.

Who's hot?
Chase Utley is batting .238 with one homer since returning, but hit .327 with four homers against the Nationals in 2010. He is also a career 12-for-32 hitter against Hernandez.

Storylines
Jayson Werth is 5 for 21 against the Phillies this season and is 2 for 8 with four strikeouts in his career against Halladay. The Phils' four-game winning streak was snapped in the series finale against the Mets, but the club should have more of their regulars in the lineup on Monday.

Sound off
Will the Nationals ever have a winning record during the Jayson Werth era?
