SAN DIEGO Catcher Carlos Ruiz is out of the Phillies lineup Friday night with a sore left wrist. Brian Schneider will be behind the plate for lefty Cole Hamels start against the Padres, and theres a good chance he will be back there again on Saturday as Ruiz could require a second day on the sidelines.Ruiz jammed the wrist making a tag on Will Venable in the sixth inning of Thursday nights 2-0 win over the Padres. Ruiz struck out twice after jamming the wrist and admitted he had trouble swinging the bat.It was sore and it was sore again when I woke up, Ruiz said before Fridays game.
