ATLANTA -- The day after playing four hours in an extra-innings loss, the Phillies bounced back Friday afternoon and beat the Atlanta Braves, 4-0, behind the outstanding pitching of Joe Blanton.

The game was played in two hours, two minutes.

The Braves had 19 hits the night before.

The Phils have won nine of their last 10 meetings against Atlanta, dating to last season.

The Phils have won two of the last three series and are 13-13 heading into Washington for a weekender with the Nationals.

At the plate
The Phillies manufactured a run in the first as Jimmy Rollins and Juan Pierre (bunt) singled. Rollins moved up on a fly ball and scored on Hunter Pences sacrifice fly. Laynce Nix gave the Phils a 2-0 lead with a home run to dead center in the seventh. Nix is 5 for 11 with two doubles, a homer and four RBIs in the last four games.

In the field
