The Orange Line feature: Flyers' tradition honors fallen soldier

Share

You may have noticed one of the Flyers wearing an Army hat after wins this season marked with the name "Umbrell."

The hat once belonged to Lt. Colby Umbrell, a Doylestown native who was killed in Iraq in 2007.

It was important to Flyers head coach Craig Berube that his players know the story of the man they would represent, so Berube invited Umbrell’s parents to address the team and talk about their son.

John Boruk has the story in this feature from Comcast SportsNet's weekly Flyers show, The Orange Line. The show debuts Tuesdays — this week at 11 p.m. — and re-airs throughout the week.
