Carli Lloyd recounts her unforgettable World Cup experience

It has been a summer to remember for two-time Olympic gold medalist and 2015 World Cup champion Carli Lloyd.

The latest stop for the South Jersey native was Comcast SportsNet's Breakfast on Broad on Tuesday. Lloyd, who joined the show with her personal coach and mentor James Galanis, obviously discussed the U.S. Women's National Team's World Cup championship — and her unforgettable performance against Japan — which she has yet to watch.

"I have not. I've watched the highlights, but I'll sit down eventually and watched the whole thing," she said.

Lloyd also answered several non-soccer questions — from her role models as a kid to (of course) whether a hot dog is indeed a sandwich — and even played foosball with Barrett Brooks.

She was also asked to name her all-time favorite Eagles. After pondering it a moment, the 33-year-old Lloyd said it was Brian Westbrook.

"Yeah, he's a big one," Lloyd said.

As for current Eagles, her favorites are running back Darren Sproles and tight end Zach Ertz. For much more from Lloyd and Galanis, watch the segment above.
