It took four tries, but the Soul have finally secured their first home win.

Clint Dolezel's team won 61-51 on Saturday night, beating the Orlando Predators and Dolezel's old boss, former Soul coach Doug Plank, for the second time this season.

“We did a great job tonight,” Dolezel said. “There are still some things we need to work on as a team, but I’ll take the win.

"I’m happy with my team and happy we were able to pull things through together and finally get this win at home.”

Quarterback Dan Raudabaugh led the way for the Soul, completing 21 of 27 passes for 251 yards and six touchdowns.

His favorite target, wide receiver Tiger Jones, led the Soul receivers with five catches for 114 yards and three touchdowns.

On defense, defensive back Rayshaun Kizer recorded five tackles, forced a fumble, recovered a fumble, and picked off one of two interceptions thrown by Orlando quarterback Aaron Garcia, who connected on just 23 of his 43 attempts for 292 yards yards and six touchdowns.

"I think there a few things we can tighten up on defense," Dolezel said.

But it was two Soul stops on a forced fumble and a turnover on downs that allowed his team to rip off a 21-0 run and take a 28-19 lead into the half.

Orlando did manage cut its deficit to just three heading into the final quarter, 42-39, but a Raudabaugh-to-Jones 38-yard touchdown and James Romain 50-yard interception return for a touchdown gave the Soul the room they needed down the stretch.
