If you read this site, you likely have similar sports tastes as the rest of us around these parts. You enjoy Deadspin, FanHouse, The 700 Level, and sites with alternative takes on the sports world. Deadspin's "Blogdome" posts are a great way for one guy to link to some of the best stuff in the blogosphere, but it's limited in scope. There must be a better way to aggregate fun sports news, right?
Enter Ballhype. What is Ballhype? It's kind of the Digg of sports sites, but with more features -- like social networking, community groups, and much more. I think this site is going to blow up. Not only does it point you to some of the best blog posts of the day, but it also points you to the ESPN.com or New York Times articles that we the bloggers are talking about. Let's face it, we all enjoy some good blog snarkery, but sometimes we need our fill of the Times.
So check out Ballhype, it went live yesterday after weeks in beta. Something else you might notice: at the bottom of every post here at The 700 Level, there is a "hype it up!" button. So if you see a post here you enjoy and think others will as well, give that button a click and get us some hype.
