Cincinnati's Sean Kilpatrick got kind of freaked out by the Owl eyes at the Liacouras Center on Sunday

If you take out the students who were sitting behind the basket, this is basically what Sean Kilpatrick was looking at in the second half yesterday.

The Temple Owls rallied from 19 points down and very nearly knocked off the No. 15 Cincinnati Bearcats on Sunday. Behind a career-high 33 points from Dalton Pepper, Temple tied the game with 36.7 seconds remaining, but ultimately fell 80-76.

Kilpatrick, who finished with a team- and season-high 29, drew a foul in the lane with 7.2 seconds to go and went to the line for the game-winning free throws. Cincy's leading scorer had actually dropped 27 points in the game's first 27 minutes, and was held scoreless for the next 13.

Maybe the Owl eyes weirded him out?

"This is one of our top two [wins]," he said. "Memphis was the No. 1. But this is top two because this is a hard place to play at.

"The craziest thing I saw shooting free throws was the Owl eyes in the back.

"That's something ... that's crazy."

Just not crazy enough to get him to miss those free throws.
