Well that didn't take long, but who's gonna complain?  Comcast announced today the channel will show a series of six memorable games leading up to the Phillies World Championship, including Game 5 of the World Series in its entirety.

The games will begin airing December 9 starting with the NL East Division clincher against the Washington Nationals.  The full slate includes games 2 and 4 of the NLDS, games 4 and 5 of the NLCS, and wraps with the ultimate victory against the Rays.  Check out the full schedule after the jump.

All times 7 pm

December 9, 2008 - Game 161 vs. Nationals, clinched NL East (9/27)
December 14, 2008 - NLDS Game 2 vs. Brewers, Myers walk and Victorino grand slam against Sabathia (10/2)
December 21, 2008 - NLDS Game 4 @ Brewers, Cole/Phils clinch NLDS (10/5)
December 24, 2008 - NLCS Game 4 @ Dodgers, Stairs and Victorino homer in 8th (10/13)
December 30, 2008 - NLCS Game 5 @ Dodgers, Cole/Phils clinch NLCS (10/15)
January 2, 2009 - World Series Game 5 vs. Rays, I know it will come to me if I think real hard...

How awesome will that be on Christmas Eve to sit with your family and relive that dramatic 8th inning comeback?  Or home alone for those of us who can't stand the holidays.  I am a little perturbed about the World Series showing on January 2 though, which is the same night as the Sugar Bowl.  Yeah, I'm going to choose football, but I have that particular game permanently recorded so I can watch it anytime.

Comcast also passed along some ratings information on the Phillies, and by all appearances they did quite well.  The Phils averaged a 5.7, or 169,000 households per night for a 3% increase over last season and a 21% increase over '06.  Something tells me those numbers will continue to climb...
