Dawkins Still Trying to Make Eagles Fans Happy

Share

This story came out over the weekend but with the busy Phillies weekend we're just seeing it now.

Everybody remembers the harrowing tale of ex-Eagles employee Dan Leone who was let go from the organization for a posting he made on social networking site Facebook. Leone was torn apart that the Birds would allow Brian Dawkins to sign with Denver. Turns out, BDawk wanted to show his appreciation for Leone's support and what better way to do that then to give him a pair of Eagles tickets?

To quote BDawk:

"I thought it'd be a good gesture,'' Dawkins said, according to the
Daily News. "Had I not ... signed with Denver, that guy would still
have his job."

A classy move from the greatest safety to ever put on an Eagles uniform.

No word on whether Leone will wear his powder blue and yellow jersey to the game.
