Flyers Prospect Giroux Wins Juniors MVP

Share

You might remember Claude Giroux from his cup of coffee with the big club earlier this season, or this cool spot he did with Nike. If not, he's one of the Flyers' top prospects, and he tore up the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League this year. Via Joe Juliano:

Claude Giroux, the Flyers' first-round pick of the 2006 NHL
entry draft, was named most valuable player of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League playoffs. Giroux, 20, tallied 51 points on 17 goals and
34 assists in 19 games for the Gatineau Olympiques, winners of the
QMJHL championship.

51 points in 19 games... Yeah that ain't bad.
