How Do We Clone Ryan Howard? Finds New Agent

Share

Ryan Howard is going to have one heck of a trophy room after the past year.  Even after becoming one of the biggest athletes in sports, he remains one of the most jovial and likable players around.  He was in Boston yesterday accepting a Baseball Writers Award.

Some athletes dodge the winter banquet circuit, especially when it
requires travel, but Howard wasn't missing this trip. He even took in a
Celtics game - "Floor seats," he said with wide-eyed excitement - on
Wednesday night.
...

Of all the awards, Howard said the Josh Gibson Award, named for the
legendary Negro Leaguer and Hall of Famer, will be the most special.  Why?  "Because he never got a shot to play in the big leagues," he said.

Can we get more guys with Howard's attitude in Philadelphia?  Not to mention his bat.

UPDATE: Looks like Howard went with Derek Jeter's agent.

Noted baseball agent Casey Close has told FOXSports.com that he's been
hired to represent Howard, the Phillies' slugging first baseman and
National League MVP. Close, who recently joined Creative Artists Agency
of Beverly Hills, has a client roster that includes New York Yankees
shortstop Derek Jeter and Chicago Cubs first baseman Derrek Lee, two
superstars with impeccable images.
