Jay Wright's Style is Simple Yet Tasteful

There's a part of me that is happy I didn't attend any of the local colleges in Philadelphia. If you went to St. Joe's, you simply can't pull for Nova. If you went to Temple, you'd be a sinner to pull for the Hawk. But having attended a school in Boston, I can not only appreciate Phil Martelli, Fran Dunphy, and Jay Wright but also pull for their respective teams in the tournament. Because, you know, they're Philly guys. I like it that way.

In anticipation of the biggest game in decades for the Wildcats tomorrow evening, Ashley Fox takes a look at the man who has helped Villanova return to the national spotlight on the hardwood. It's the "there's more to the man than just the smooth threads" piece that praises Wright for being perhaps the nicest guy in the state of Pennsylvania. It's not just an act, either. Heck, even A.J. Daulerio -- the mastermind behind Deadspin.com, who usually rips into athletes, coaches, and media figures like your fat friend Tony rips through a Pat's cheesesteak -- has nothing but gushing praise for Jay Wright.

The Inquirer piece is a familiar one for Nova fans, except Fox got the dish on Jay Wright's closests. That's right, plural. Jay Wright has two closests.

This is a breakdown of Wright's closet - his two closets,
actually. The best-dressed man in college basketball, the one whom
announcers routinely laud as dapper and debonair, has two closets in
his bedroom, one for his suits ("about 30"), the other for his shirts,
shoes and slacks. Organized by style. An outfit for every occasion.

Wright claims to not put too much thought into his daily attire but he's been looking smooth since his high school days when he was voted best dressed.

Another reason to like Wright? He uses a local paisan named Gabriele D'Annunzio who is a native of Abruzzo, Italy.

North Carolina is used to being in the spotlight while Jay Wright admits that the attention since beating Pitt has been a bit distracting. Regardless of what nicely pressed suit he's wearing on the Nova bench on Saturday, the Cats will have their hands full with Roy Williams' squad.
