Matsuzaka's Major League Ball Park Debut

I think it was Ron Burke on Comcast last night with the catch phrase of the evening: "Adam. Eaton Alive!"  Granted it was an embellishment and likely not the first time the play on words has been used, but amusing none the less.

Adam Eaton will finally start collecting a paycheck and the Phillies will finally play some baseball on Monday that will count.

The Phils finished up the exhibition portion of their schedule on Saturday with Daisuke Matsuzaka's first ever performance in a major league ball park.  He looked great at times, with sick movement on many of his pitches, and also looked a bit off at times, fighting to control the ball.  Dice-K impressed some, but not everyone.
Manuel on the gyro baller, "To be honest, I thought he would throw harder and have better command."

Matsuzaka's line: 4 innings, 2 hits, 3 runs all earned, 4 walks, 7 Ks, and the one HR to Burrell.

Pat Burrell finished off spring on the right foot and took a ball out of the yard.  See!  My plea for fans to lay off Pat The Bat is already working.  Red Sox slugger David Ortiz almost took a ball out of South Philadelphia and into Camden.  The Phillies, of course, did not win and decided to wait until Monday to get the first W of the year at CBP.  Sounds good to me.
