I guess now we get to talk about the Phillies.. how exciting.
They are off to a great spring with the arm of gold (which Ed Wade wouldn't trade for Curt Schilling, Barry Bonds, and Vlade..) breaking. Cole Hamels has a lot of POTENTIAL.

Hamels, 21, broke the fifth metacarpal, the bone that leads to the pinkie, on his left hand. Philadelphia hand specialist Randall Culp will operate on the pitcher tomorrow. A pin will be inserted into the hand during the procedure. "I'm definitely worried about this incident, and I'm definitely worried about my hand," Hamels said in a telephone interview yesterday. "I've put myself in a hole."
According to the Phillies, Hamels is not expected to be able to pitch competitively for up to three months, or until early May. Hamels has his sights set on a quicker return. "I'll be ready April 4," he said. "I have to be optimistic. I can't bury myself with this mishap."
According to Clearwater police, the fight occurred about 2 a.m. Saturday as Hamels and four friends, two Phillies minorleaguers and two Toronto Blue Jays minor-leaguers, left a club called Razzels, on Gulf to Bay Boulevard. "We got attacked from behind," Hamels said. "Some of the guys who did it were really drunk. We were just trying to protect ourselves."
