From the Toronto Star:

The
Toronto Blue Jays traded pitcher Francisco Rosario to the Philadelphia
Phillies Thursday in exchange for cash considerations.

Rosario, 26, posted a 1-2 record last season with a 6.65 ERA in 17 appearances (one start) with the Blue Jays.

The
right-hander was designated for assignment by Toronto on March 31,
2007. In 148 career minor league games (84 starts) he posted a record
of 20-26 with a 3.38 ERA.

Rosario was signed as a non-drafted free agent by the Toronto Blue Jays on January 11, 1999.

I don't know much about him except that he's been considered a pretty nice prospect and his stats are terrible, perhaps misleadingly so. That and I hear Pat Gillick accidentally called him "Cordero." Close enough. I'll take it. Nice deal by Pat with his old club.

Hat tip to Chris.
