If you missed the play last night, Chase Utley basically tried to steal home on a pick off attempt to first base. He didn't really have a chance but he went 100% at the plate and drilled Nats' catcher Flores. Charlie loved the old school effort.
“I wish every one of my players played that way,” Manuel said. “That’s not old school, it’s good school. That’s the way you play the game, unless you want to put some rouge, makeup and lipstick on.”
Oh man. Did you guys actually hear this clip? Cholly actually said the last part in quite the feminine voice. I'd call Charlie a homophobe if he wasn't 64 years old because, really, what old man over 60 isn't?
