Sixers Add One Last Spectrum Memory This Evening Against Bulls

Many Philadelphians had the pleasure of witnessing their first championship as a sports fan at the Spectrum. Others, like myself, witnessed their first hockey fight or their first Springsteen concert there. I also had a chance to see some of Philadelphia's best ever from the Doctor to Sir Charles as well as legends of the game like Kareem and Jordan.

The boys will lace them up and fill the seats of America's Showplace one last time as the Sixers host the Chicago Bulls. To be honest, most fans are looking forward to the highlight reels and the appearances of the old timers.

We've done the Spectrum memories posts quite a few times already but it can't hurt to get nostalgic for one more evening. I'll be in attendance tonight for what could be my final trip to the Spectrum (depending on whether I score Bruce tickets or if a certain band decides to do a set of fall shows there).

I may even shed a tear as I walk down the steps to use the men's room. Regardless, it should be a fun evening to celebrate the building that was home to so much sports history in this sports-crazed town. Enjoy it.
