My brother sent me this great article about the first two episodes of this seasons Sopranos. It wasn't the first place I saw Tony's "dream" sequence being described as him actually being in purgatory. I've only watched the first two episodes once, so I'm not going to try and over analyze here. But go read this article, its interesting and makes a lot of sense.
