Trying to Find the Positive in a Gloomy Day

At least Mike McMahon isn't our quarterback.

A Roundup of articles on McNabb's season ending injury:

  • McNabb to Miss Remainder of Season with Torn ACL [Fanhouse]
  • Eagles lose McNabb as well as game [Inquirer, Bob Brookover]
  • Failure to name starting QB may fuel controversy [Inquirer, John Smallwood]
  • Eagles need a better back up plan [Inquirer, Ashley Fox]

Feeley or Garcia? A controversy may be the only thing that could keep the season interesting at this point.
And a reader posses the question: Who would you rather see starting next week against the Colts? I
know it doesnt really matter because the recievers (minus stallworth)
can't seem to hold onto the ball, but im just curious as to your
opinion. think they should start feeley, i think he still has a little
something left, while i think that garcia is burnt out. but, garcia
will prob get the start on sunday.

I was kind of hoping we could trade our entire 2006 draft class to the Giants to bring back former Eagle and fellow Boston College alum Tim Hasselbeck.  He was fun to boo when I was in college and now that the Eagles are going to be pitiful for the remainder of the year, we could use a good target to let out our venom on.  Koy Detmer's available as well.  Who wouldn't love a little a little more whip in their lives?

Seriously?  Does it matter?  I guess I'd go with Feeley.  He has some potential I suppose.  I'd give the edge slightly to Feeley, but they are pretty comparable.  If you were to argue about their hot lady friends?  That could be a good argument.  Garcia's wife former girlfriend fiancee (?) and 2004 playmate of the year, Carmela DeCesare, was in Playboy and A.J. Feeley's wife, Heather Mitts, has been named sexiest female althete by ESPN.
