This is minor news to most, but after having the unique opportunity to attend the 2008 games in Beijing I became a huge fan of the Olympics, so reading today that the 2012 games in London will be live streamed on the Internet was great news.
which comes from the world feed, would be nothing like what was seen
later on. It’s not produced and there’s no context. An important thing
to note: Once the event is done, it is not archived until after it has
run on television.
With the growth of Twitter in the few years since 2008, the live feed seems like an absolute must. The hardcore fans will keep the rest of you abreast of just when to tune in to see Michael Phelps swim a heat or to see the finals of 100 meter relay, etc.
The bottom line: you'll finally have the option to watch the Olympic games live in 2012. That's a good thing.
