Brian Westbrook showed up to camp today and the Eagles needed him. Their backfield is suddenly full of injuries:
All told right now, four of the Eagles backs are sidelined. Moats and
Bruce Perry both have concussions (Perry sustained his on Sunday
morning). Correll Buckhalter is recovering from a bruised knee he
suffered Friday. Eric McCoo is recovering from off-season knee surgery.
Moats took a heck of a hit in practice this morning. The Eagles depth at WR and RB right now is far from great. Hopefully Perry and Moats' concussions are not of the serious kind. The downfall of a team returning to the Super Bowl a year following a loss in the big game is injuries. The Eagles have the players to get to Detroit, but if injuries deplete the current squad, don't plan on booking a trip to Detroit. Just ask Yudt about being in Detroit with nothing to do.
