Based upon everything that has taken place. Everything that we've heard. Speak say it's so well before I I came -- microphone. I shouldn't state. Stated any better. Than how I was just stated by. The beautiful people who came before me. The reason why -- -- part for me to address you guys. And the reason why it's so important for me to address the media nationally locally whatever. Is because we are Penn State. And and that will never change -- We have bend. The standard. For so long. We had been a close family. For so long it. So for something and is evil is this. To accompany them to the mist of our family. Understand this is barely up call. To duty. This is -- talents for all of us. The worst crime. That we can commit here right now. Is to leave here. Can't forget what happened. These things happen. All the time it is way too prevalent in our society. It's our call to duty it's it's on us it's it's not only on us. To protect abused. It's on us to restore. The pride of old steak. And I don't know about you. But I'm not gonna take that fight laying down. I'm here to tell you guys whatever it is that we need to do we have always stood up and do what we've needed to do. Always. People may not understand every single thing that takes place. That might not know all the great things that we've done as a university as an institution that's as the people of this community. But this is a call this is this is it's our time and it's our duty this this serves as the ultimate wake up call. If this isn't enough to wake us up. And get motivated. And look at one another and India protector of one another if this isn't a good enough wake up call. Then I don't know what is. So it was very important for me to be a part of this I'm honored and I'm humbled. To be able to stay here before you speak with you. As as a former player out of this team and at this university is a former student. I have so many memories. I have so many feelings that that are running through me right now just just the way. I know we all have our great memories and I know we all have great stories its tail. But let's make tonight the greatest story ever told ever. Out of something as horrible is this. Let's make tonight the starting point. Of setting the standards once more once again. This is not about we are one person. And the battle of abuse. My listing sexual assault. Can't serve. Anything that. It's an affliction event in and flicks are communities that they are Jason and in. -- people in general this is about humanity. We always answer the call. And I don't I am here to tell you bet that that I won't feel voids that let you know that I am going to fight. I am going to be more committed. Them more vigilant. And and fighting this. And being a part of battling this because no one deserves to live in that type of a prison. So it's not about we are as one person. It's about we are as it depends state. That tonight let this be the start of the greatest story ever told that it's talents. Do today evil acts of what evil person. And evil people. That challenge has been issued. Now let it be let it be known. That we waged war. As Penn State. To make a difference do not walk away from here tonight say I had an opportunity to hold a candle look at somebody and listen to people talk. Leave here tonight. With the results. And understanding. That Q possessed the power to change things. And I won't be there with you. And we should all be here with one another. Because you know what. We all are. You guys I.
