Hello and welcome to lunch break -- -- it might -- -- -- that I'm history Hughes and I am thrilled to be. Joined by -- very good friend. Zoo with Roy -- welcome finish out. Think Kyrie and I and I'm so happy adhered I just went for people aren't familiar and I think there it might be -- my mom and my great grandmother more familiar resume with -- dot com. Can you just give a little synopsis. Of what zoo with Roy. Oh sure first hello mrs. green's mom. Ingram on a -- literally is basically the world's foremost -- about wanting to go to the zoo with Roy Halladay. This picture for the Philadelphia Phillies. -- Yet that that in an essential -- it is. I love that up now on I know it. I know you're totally in love with the Phillies it was right out and we are gonna get to them and a couple of minutes. What I wanna start with something that you posted on your blog yesterday you like the rest of the Philadelphia world kind of shocked by the huge contract offer. The offer sheet that the flyers made to Shea Weber that you decided you pulled out the books from the Nashville Predators and you did an all. Of whether or not -- you afford Shea Weber 110 million offer sheet what did you come up. As an MBA area I am me say crack the books and -- -- depth look and basically our hockey team in Tennessee cannot afford a 110 million dollar contract. So it's looking good for the orange and black. The -- for homer. Here's my thought if they actually -- on able to get Shea Weber say Nashville matches that contract 110 million. I suggest that Ed -- just by that at the Predators. Well you just you have to do that because though he folding within two or three years anyway they're not gonna. Given financially sustain their organization. Should be matched the deal so we'll just wait and then I'll get an amateur three years when. -- -- scheerer consumer older and even more ready for opera and ice basically and no lose situation. I I you also because of your love for right now and I I have to imagine. That this week was a huge week for zoo with Roy dot com because of course Roy how they did come back I imagine the Penguins community. If you were anatomically able there was a lot of -- fighting going on. Gree -- guys on the human being correct. I -- you're at it but to logos. But I'm talking about. That's true. -- but yet your point it was a huge week. Ankle for some engineer right now and each and Watson Delhi needs the -- -- -- we did a good -- is a good bit of traffic. A lot of interaction and the best part about it is we're just excited that we got to see -- pitch Keegan you're I was definitely concerned. That his arm is. Is obviously troubles his team out there and do well. On the pitch count and after -- got through that second inning in LA that was that was it does very favorable. Circumstance. You posted 82012 maternal line of optimism when it actually dot com which we're gonna throw up here right now now and a girl taking Powell and I don't throw it out I won't throw -- -- -- in making that -- -- you were really down -- earlier in the -- zone. We -- him that kind of explain your graphic. Okay so and this is is it chart and meet at work and it it details our journey through the but zone into our current state of all yeah he remembered before Wednesday's. So crushing. Choke job and that sort of foreshadowing of future point reading it -- We street and and it. I'm I'm an optimist you know starting get a bit delusional and help -- -- is. Senior -- losing that series you're gonna make to the playoffs and we that we are -- make the playoffs and I just wanted to put it in. -- graphical representation. -- -- my viewers and. And you have honor in September they used to believe they're going to make Iran. Yes absolutely -- -- talented enough maker. Will they be making that run with Cole Hamels yes. -- you do believe they're going to sign. I believe it yet. I -- yeah I really hope they sign him I believe they're gonna sign them. But it. -- -- -- Possibly delusional here I don't wanna treat them. Even if you're not sure you're going to be able to sign him before the trade deadline -- still when he keep them around and make your friend you. Well but -- and having only games this year but -- gets in. It is in May not be the smartest. Most rational decision that they think he just you'd go for regardless and you don't give local fans of you know. Late July -- all's lost and Hamels from -- -- lost in the seasons front. I'm glad that you is as a penguin and I'm I'm just gonna keep as an indictment as a penguin aren't rationally there because I completely agree with you to me it sends a horrible message. Going forward if you got rid of him this season that is going really horrible to me will only nosedive so I I'm with you one. And it's only coincidence but you know yesterday facing -- he's got suspended again and there wasn't Ford is. Other candidates but. Did that could lead is Seattle trade -- -- -- and Philadelphia keeps getting burned -- need to -- superstars the guys to get back always kind of stink so I don't care I don't wanna bunch of crap prospects though that is going for. -- Other thing with Roy got to go are you also post this morning. I just cite Easter nutrients you throwing dot com. Right now -- -- eatery that happened I got in it too much pain when you know. It who you posted a poll. Ireland whether or not Ruben Amaro junior has done a good enough job with the ball. And actually had two things one was whether or not you -- asking your view our. Whether or not they could have done a better job with the ball and that Ruben Amaro junior did here your choices where. Of course I rule and the second one. Actually probably I did. I -- it of course -- role now out what you. Yes that the -- Hate those detective -- that I can do a better job and you. You probably couldn't have done a worse job. It would be hard to imagine that he could've done it worked out now speaking of that great are worse jobs were gonna do a little segment here called dump a guy misses. Bad donkey. Or good song ever throws them a lot that you actually Houston at some crazy music well it is well you know you might have to think well. Can pump that. Okay you -- and I'll do it OK the first one out good dot here bad donkey is within 2012 -- -- hump completely it. As a veteran has. Plays that I'm so any given through the big donkey please. Is. So smoking. I think -- and I still believe in and even though where in last place and this hasn't been the best season ever. He's earned it so we'll we'll get handed dunk but he's on thin ice. You're saying as a penguin it's not black and white on loan and at some point in -- was awful that that -- -- just thought you look at our next one that got -- good donkey Billy -- Seriously. -- Up next we have all grip. Oh my goodness he's. Yeah he's definitely the heat issue everything is awesome but not. -- -- stupid after reading game as two weeks I played good lies in its Peter received a -- LA where the flyers stands he's definitely a good hockey. I'm surprised they haven't caught up as you know you are always on ice I'm sure you're greatly in that. Did you -- we almost got homers down trending on Twitter yesterday. I think that if I -- and he -- Angelos sign that he's generated. Don't alliances. And our last -- about -- I'm typically until next you know you've been here. Can you like your -- Penguins -- -- come down and get you out there at at our last one is rod Miller. You -- you know it's hard for me to be negative meaning is rod thorn and -- donkey. Only because. I don't even know if he runs the team anymore. So I kind image and I'm intrigued by this strategy the Sixers have of getting. He's -- ever heard of them one year contracts. But. Not -- -- -- strikes me as all get it put the front of the camera for Doug Collins uses his mood so he's a big donkey. And Doug is so young well as -- thank you -- being our -- I have got you a picture of the year I know you -- some lunch meat but I figured -- -- I could at least get a little the year. Well if I could -- some fine quality Dietz and Watson products will happily take this flat half filled pitchers -- for me darling. I drank the other half I don't smooth like can tell them I I had I had just been. Two questions two final questions for you are you a warm order and went. Or are you late cold water and. In the warm water England I don't late talker on an ace in -- to be -- my wheels. Okay I my last question to you and is what do Penguins eat for lunch. I don't know ice partners. Want. Ice burgers you know I third icy and seriously. As he closes. Just you know I think. I -- do it right there with right dot com thank you so much for being my guest on lunch break I look forward to having you want again. -- right -- this now. The on. Negative that you Neil Hartman. I am close personal friends with -- I would get an autographed picture of you -- not a seat. Can he take pressure off an ugly it crosses to make the magic marker. I'll have. To lock up -- I I don't think you play -- and to -- now. Do -- right thank you so much for being my guess on lunch break. Presented by -- -- welcome everyone that is a great town and Alex and injured today my -- expensive. I love you. Don't cut it. --

  2. John Gonzalez and Marshall Harris recap the Phillies' win

    Sun, 19 May 2013

Phillies get to walk off way to cap off a winning homestand when the series against the reds died when you look at. How well this team played this week you know there were some ups and downs. He has been a big win and Charlie mine it's an absolutely huge went and not just for Charlie and and his mind that the team and its actual record because. And look they would they went through that scoring drought. From Saturn better from Friday night through Sunday and then all of a sudden sort of in a way that I don't think anybody expected. They all seem sort of surprised by it. Where they break out of that scoring slump and then not only break out of it but also win the game with with two harm could really they had two chances to have a walk off win. But Cliff Lee got stuck on first base help but it was a it was a good it was a good weekend from another strong outing for John some bad news that is when Ryan Howard he's got. Bad left knee and Charlie and doesn't expect him to play tomorrow also Carlos I haven't MRI. On Monday to determine what's up. With his hamstring how big are these injuries absolutely Brigham and when you look at a team that has struck despite the fact that they won the game on Sunday. They're team that struggled to score and those are two of your better bats. In that lineup and both Howard and grocery said that they were database so you don't know when you're gonna get these guys back it didn't sound like they were in any danger at least not a Howard's. Side of of being on the DL right now but right now nobody knows I but the good news is the next team up. Is those struggling shall we say the floundering fish the Miami Marlins the Phillies get to play them for three games even the bring. Back power forward in the five man rotation how do you like that are shaping up the least experience I think for the Phillies you gotta be pretty excited after coming off of a series where you were you squeak out this last one here after having his scoring John you see the Marlins had the the Marlins in the Mets have been. Sort of panacea for everything that ails the Phillies this season so for them. Then it's looking pretty good and certainly they have forgot what happened last on the face to face when they dropped the last two of four games at right here at Citizens Bank Park for John is Marshall Harris.
