I think he shown you at least -- pretty good toughness Germany's he's taken some hits. He's certainly not going to be confused with Mike -- -- G three in terms of mobility but I think he's mobile enough. To make some plays he's under pressure. Oh I think you have. And this is why it was important for him to play out the rest of the season to get a good long look at him and I think unlike last year. When we went through that four games at the end of the year that became the fool's gold derby you know and win those games against teams are really having played for. This year your play he's playing out this -- plan out the season against teams that are really playing for something. -- -- Tampa Bay Buccaneers that he -- were they at that time they were in the playoff race -- certainly are in the playoff race they got in today. Redskins are playing for something and actually the Giants are probably going to be playing for something so these are all games against teams that even though the Eagles have long since seen their hopes go away. Each one of these games are games these other teams need to win and so they're gonna come after your rookie quarterback and if he can play as well as he's played in this stretch from week to week but I think it's real positive thing. Agree I got to the obvious which. I think he's exceeded expectations as far as I'm concerned I mean this -- think about what he's brought a whole weeks long ball to. The prayers that we have around this group -- round draft pick that cart there's been brought -- in the middle of the season. And he doesn't have a four Arsenal. -- first strangers to work with me when you mean you're working with the best of the best from a team that makes you a lot better. Right now he's the one making these guys that he's thrown the ball Riley Cooper. To -- Johnson even brought Jeremy met him back to life I mean Jeremy Maclin was gone and forgotten. At some point this season because he was ineffective but on the wouldn't it falls and -- -- start. We've seen I think it's at least 100 yard games on -- Jeremy Maclin don't post it. As a starter. And I think he's you look at the deepest deepest -- period it was given up thirty points a game more pressure on rookie quarterback because now he has to score more now. The office needs him throw the ball more as opposed to somebody's other rookies that came into the league other than and doing what who's been drawn -- to get the rest of these guys. They were able to be. Carried into this season with a running game what the defense even RG three now you only throw the ball 1718 times a game number one -- and the number one Russian team mentally. And -- both of these circumstances I think has performed. Very well isn't perfect you know that began to -- -- your franchise -- I'm not ready to say that yet either but I do know this I thought a lot. Better -- Helm parks -- watching them play. Army outdoor lot better body now that I did before I got a chance to see him -- because everybody jumped up and down about what he did in the pre season that -- -- to me. What he's doing now would basically pre season talent around anybody office out of football. You gotta respect that it's hard to win in the NFL -- over 300 yards passing. I believe and at least two of those gates close at 30. He's doing some good things -- that quickly gets. Before compliment our children during that first runners on his side of the football. Give him a secondary only deepens our football is not given up thirty points a game. It then you'll see that he'll be even better. Who's ever coach you have next year it's gonna be very critical that they build a team around him starting with that all -- -- -- -- protected because he's minutes -- just like Michael Vick as. The last five or six weeks the only difference is he's bigger so he's getting up off the ground but he still taking the same case.

  1. John Gonzalez and Marshall Harris recap the Phillies' win

    Sun, 19 May 2013

Phillies get to walk off way to cap off a winning homestand when the series against the reds died when you look at. How well this team played this week you know there were some ups and downs. He has been a big win and Charlie mine it's an absolutely huge went and not just for Charlie and and his mind that the team and its actual record because. And look they would they went through that scoring drought. From Saturn better from Friday night through Sunday and then all of a sudden sort of in a way that I don't think anybody expected. They all seem sort of surprised by it. Where they break out of that scoring slump and then not only break out of it but also win the game with with two harm could really they had two chances to have a walk off win. But Cliff Lee got stuck on first base help but it was a it was a good it was a good weekend from another strong outing for John some bad news that is when Ryan Howard he's got. Bad left knee and Charlie and doesn't expect him to play tomorrow also Carlos I haven't MRI. On Monday to determine what's up. With his hamstring how big are these injuries absolutely Brigham and when you look at a team that has struck despite the fact that they won the game on Sunday. They're team that struggled to score and those are two of your better bats. In that lineup and both Howard and grocery said that they were database so you don't know when you're gonna get these guys back it didn't sound like they were in any danger at least not a Howard's. Side of of being on the DL right now but right now nobody knows I but the good news is the next team up. Is those struggling shall we say the floundering fish the Miami Marlins the Phillies get to play them for three games even the bring. Back power forward in the five man rotation how do you like that are shaping up the least experience I think for the Phillies you gotta be pretty excited after coming off of a series where you were you squeak out this last one here after having his scoring John you see the Marlins had the the Marlins in the Mets have been. Sort of panacea for everything that ails the Phillies this season so for them. Then it's looking pretty good and certainly they have forgot what happened last on the face to face when they dropped the last two of four games at right here at Citizens Bank Park for John is Marshall Harris.
