Made that decision was not terribly. Well received in some circles. But how much did it affect Andy Reid's career and head coaching tenure here. So -- table for everything I mean that was the foundation. That was his first pick. That was his first big decision. And it was a lot of guts because it was not a popular decision in the city certainly wasn't listening to the fans the fans. Most of them one -- Ricky Williams. There are a lot of people around a lot of questions about whether Donovan McNabb was going to be good NFL quarterback he came up a whole different kind of offense Syracuse. I remember that was a draft class and had a lot of quarterbacks and Tim Couch Achilles Smith gave me now. Daunte Culpepper. There were a lot of people that said necessarily Donovan McNabb was a sure shot guy but Andy Reid believed in them. He picked him over public objection and believe that he was gonna be the cornerstone of this franchise because injury to quarterback coach ultimately and he had a victory quarterback. And as it turned out he did pick the right one but how about this Cutler how much did Andy -- have to do with Donovan McNabb its success. I think everything I mean you're you're looking here a phenomenal talent coming out of college. Who who still raw. Made a lot of plays and left lettuce is when Andy Reid got here. He he he policy the rough edges he taught him how to utilize his body behind his throws to increase velocity on the throws. Com how to read defense is taught them how to put touches certain touches on passes. Depending on the situation. I Andy Reid and everything and he has done over the tapes and everything and anything to do we've -- -- the success and growth. As a professional quarterback in the NFL if they had taken Achilles Smith or Donovan had gone to Cleveland. What what would we be talking about now I think we would have been talking about Achilles Smith being a bust here because a lot of people. Although he was drafted Andy Reid was not a -- him in terms when he sent down and talk to him and answers he got back from Achilles Smith. And I think Donovan going to -- going to Cleveland. I think it Donovan would have had an average career. And possibly would never gotten to an FC championship game or Super Bowl for that matter he just happy to be the right pick at the right time for the right organization. In the right coach who knew how to quick buck -- quarterbacks. That made it all happen for them. Quickly -- same same question to you what would have had -- -- otherwise or had they -- Ricky Williams as everyone pounded the drums for -- -- -- I would that Donovan McNabb received. If Ricky Williams had come here. How much different is Andy Reid's tenure is Woody still in the coach for fourteen seasons. I don't know I -- I mean Donovan McNabb was really ever any built everything around quarterback and he picked the right quarterback and he coached him beautifully I -- -- was a guy that even throughout his career was never. A textbook perfect mechanical quarterback he had to be managed to certain way -- plays had to be called a certain way the offense had to be structured certain way. And Andy handled that masterfully but Donovan McNabb mean he. You know he made Donovan one of the elite players in the league and Donovan. Help they can be one of the elite coaches it was a perfect marriage and we were lucky to see it happen here in Philadelphia -- sure.

Phillies get to walk off way to cap off a winning homestand when the series against the reds died when you look at. How well this team played this week you know there were some ups and downs. He has been a big win and Charlie mine it's an absolutely huge went and not just for Charlie and and his mind that the team and its actual record because. And look they would they went through that scoring drought. From Saturn better from Friday night through Sunday and then all of a sudden sort of in a way that I don't think anybody expected. They all seem sort of surprised by it. Where they break out of that scoring slump and then not only break out of it but also win the game with with two harm could really they had two chances to have a walk off win. But Cliff Lee got stuck on first base help but it was a it was a good it was a good weekend from another strong outing for John some bad news that is when Ryan Howard he's got. Bad left knee and Charlie and doesn't expect him to play tomorrow also Carlos I haven't MRI. On Monday to determine what's up. With his hamstring how big are these injuries absolutely Brigham and when you look at a team that has struck despite the fact that they won the game on Sunday. They're team that struggled to score and those are two of your better bats. In that lineup and both Howard and grocery said that they were database so you don't know when you're gonna get these guys back it didn't sound like they were in any danger at least not a Howard's. Side of of being on the DL right now but right now nobody knows I but the good news is the next team up. Is those struggling shall we say the floundering fish the Miami Marlins the Phillies get to play them for three games even the bring. Back power forward in the five man rotation how do you like that are shaping up the least experience I think for the Phillies you gotta be pretty excited after coming off of a series where you were you squeak out this last one here after having his scoring John you see the Marlins had the the Marlins in the Mets have been. Sort of panacea for everything that ails the Phillies this season so for them. Then it's looking pretty good and certainly they have forgot what happened last on the face to face when they dropped the last two of four games at right here at Citizens Bank Park for John is Marshall Harris.
