What did you make of of his demeanor as that he and his wife -- were there to accept an award. That resisting that you wanna talk you know about his shoulder ailment that -- never happens. There earlier this month Jim Salisbury your colleague reported that that he was slowed down earlier this offseason because of the right right after the season ended -- over right. And that they had a little bit of a break from his routine. Kolb didn't really wanna talk about that at all and actually it didn't happen he did admit that he gets a source at the end of last season any pitch through it in September. But is funny how athletes work that way Brad Lidge for years so he's said that he felt fine and obviously the results or otherwise and even Roy Halladay last year for the first few months of the season and back to spring training. So everything was fine and then -- and emails and everything was fine so. It's something to keep it on down. To be because you know sometimes elected to convince themselves that they're okay. And -- -- -- benefit of the doubt he has thrown 3 bullpen this morning news for us to throw another ones that before bullpen. So I don't think he'd be out there you know throwing off a mound if he felt discomfort. But it's something to keep it out. Understand is he seemed agitator we have the clip -- We don't but he -- he seemed agitated when pressed about the issue. Ruben Amaro junior confirmed -- -- report that that that this was the case and yet he -- he seemed to genuine you know I don't know if you can read. Genuine as he seemed genuine not. No not recall what anybody was talking. Yeah tail sometimes they're not probably -- if Theres going to be penciled. He did admit that yeah okay it was president happy crown Plaza Hotel. But yet it's not like -- and sometimes they like to try to convince themselves that everything's fine and and also maybe it was the time and place he was -- you know being recognized for his humanitarian. -- and maybe you think he's going to be asked about that but then again it's a little naive in many -- been around long enough to know that. You know -- assemble you know especially at a sportswriters event you're going to be talking to sportswriters out he had to -- questions come.

  2. John Gonzalez and Marshall Harris recap the Phillies' win

    Sun, 19 May 2013

Phillies get to walk off way to cap off a winning homestand when the series against the reds died when you look at. How well this team played this week you know there were some ups and downs. He has been a big win and Charlie mine it's an absolutely huge went and not just for Charlie and and his mind that the team and its actual record because. And look they would they went through that scoring drought. From Saturn better from Friday night through Sunday and then all of a sudden sort of in a way that I don't think anybody expected. They all seem sort of surprised by it. Where they break out of that scoring slump and then not only break out of it but also win the game with with two harm could really they had two chances to have a walk off win. But Cliff Lee got stuck on first base help but it was a it was a good it was a good weekend from another strong outing for John some bad news that is when Ryan Howard he's got. Bad left knee and Charlie and doesn't expect him to play tomorrow also Carlos I haven't MRI. On Monday to determine what's up. With his hamstring how big are these injuries absolutely Brigham and when you look at a team that has struck despite the fact that they won the game on Sunday. They're team that struggled to score and those are two of your better bats. In that lineup and both Howard and grocery said that they were database so you don't know when you're gonna get these guys back it didn't sound like they were in any danger at least not a Howard's. Side of of being on the DL right now but right now nobody knows I but the good news is the next team up. Is those struggling shall we say the floundering fish the Miami Marlins the Phillies get to play them for three games even the bring. Back power forward in the five man rotation how do you like that are shaping up the least experience I think for the Phillies you gotta be pretty excited after coming off of a series where you were you squeak out this last one here after having his scoring John you see the Marlins had the the Marlins in the Mets have been. Sort of panacea for everything that ails the Phillies this season so for them. Then it's looking pretty good and certainly they have forgot what happened last on the face to face when they dropped the last two of four games at right here at Citizens Bank Park for John is Marshall Harris.
