Dez Bryant broke the law and got away with it because a cop thought it was ‘cool'

This is a tale that most certainly did not take place in Philadelphia because any cop in this area would not let Dez Bryant off scot-free.

He's a Dallas Cowboy after all.

Dez shared a driving story recently while Indianapolis 500 winner Takuma Sato visited Cowboys practice and admitted to shattering a law into oblivion and getting away with it.

Bryant was apparently asked about the fastest he's ever driven. He hesitated at first but just had to share, as told by the Star Telegram:

"I’m gonna do it. I’m gonna do it. I'm gonna say it. You know, I just -- I don’t do it anymore," Bryant said with a sheepish grin. "When I first got my license, I got it suspended for a year because I was going a little bit too fast, if you know. The fastest I have been, I have gone probably about 180."

It was in his Bentley and he was pulled over by police, but surprisingly didn’t get a ticket.

"When I got pulled over it was pretty cool," Bryant said. "The cop said 'I couldn’t catch you. I had to turn my lights off to get up with you.' He didn’t give me a ticket. He thought it was pretty cool, too. It was good. He was a good sport."

All kidding aside, Bryant's cavalier attitude about this dangerous behavior being "cool" is, dare I say, not cool. And a cop "being a good sport" about anyone doing 180 mph in a car is most certainly not cool and is downright wrong. That cop is awful at his job.
