Philadelphia basketball fans haven't seen the Process translate into wins on the court just yet but they're trusting it will.
Following years and years of losing, the Sixers finally showed some promise last season, including a wildly exciting month of January. Toss the addition of 2017 No. 1 overall draft pick Markelle Fultz and high-priced free agent JJ Redick to the mix and anticipation for the 2017-18 season is high.
So much so that season ticket plans for the upcoming season have sold out and the team has employed an interesting new waiting list program.
"The Philadelphia 76ers announced today details for its 'Club 76' Official Fan Membership Program," the team said in an official release. "After recently selling out of Season Ticket Memberships for the 2017-18 season. The three-tiered Membership Program includes benefits such as a priority position on the Sixers Season Ticket Member waiting list, guaranteed access to the team’s individual ticket pre-sale, exclusive partnership and promotional offers and an opportunity to secure future NBA Playoff tickets. Access to a position on the waiting list is free as a member of Club 76; fans interested in a priority waiting list position, premier access to tickets or additional benefits may join 'Club 76 Elite' and 'Club 76 Priority.'"
The initial level is free to join but the "Club 76 Elite" and "Club 76 Priority" are $76 and $176 to join respectively. The membership will last for one year and, depending on level, include a pair of Sixers' T-shirts and/or New Era baseball caps in addition to other unique ticket-purchasing opportunities like playoff tix if the team makes it (!).
It's a far cry from being able to purchase an entire row of tickets at the Wells Fargo Center for mere dollars. If the Process hasn't translated to wins just yet, it's certainly winning at marketing the hype of hope.
