Sixers center Andrew Bynum underwent bilateral arthroscopic surgery on his knees Tuesday. The procedure was performed by Dr. David Altchek with the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.
With just five home games remaining in the season and the Sixers struggling with a 25-40 record, the team officially announced the inevitable on Monday evening.
From early January until late February, “Mondays with Bynum” were a regular occurrence.
Jeff Ruland, who years ago offered Sixers fans a preview of coming distractions, doesn’t know Andrew Bynum. But he knows better than anyone what he’s going through.
