One week after the tragic death of Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna, and seven others in a helicopter crash, the basketball legend and Philly-area native received a tribute on one of sport's biggest stages.
The 49ers and Chiefs both honored Bryant before Sunday's Super Bowl LIV with a moment of silence to remember his life and legacy. The teams lined up on the respective 24-yard lines, in honor of the No. 24 jersey Bryant wore with the Lakers:

The entire stadium took a five-second moment of silence with the teams lined up. Afterwards, a "Kobe" chant broke out among the fans already in their seats, a half-hour before kickoff.
Elsewhere on Sunday, the NFL is honoring Bryant's legacy by auctioning off 20 signed helmets and balls to benefit Bryant's organization, The Mamba Sports Foundation:
Bryant's alma mater, Lower Merion High School in Ardmore, held a memorial for Bryant on Saturday.
