While the Soul won't be bringing a championship to Philadelphia this season, three members of the organization have been recognized for their contributions.

The AFL on Thursday named head coach Clint Dolezel the Marcum-Moss Coach of the Year, quarterback Dan Raudabaugh the Russell Offensive Player of the Year and the Most Valuable Player and chief operating officer John Adams the Executive of the Year.

"Without question, Clint is one of the best offensive minds in AFL history," Soul general manager Tom Goodhines said in a statement. "This is a well deserved award and the entire Soul organization could not be any more proud of him."

Dolezel is 39-21 in three seasons as the Soul's head coach. He coached the team to a 16-4 record this season, winning the East Division and top seed in the American Conference.

The Soul ranked No. 1 in the AFL with 151 touchdowns and No. 2 in total offense (299.8 yards per game) and scoring (58.9 points per game) with Dolezel calling the plays.

As for Raudabaugh, the 28-year-old led the AFL with 119 touchdowns and finished second in passing yards (4,992) and completion percentage (66.3 percent). In Week 17, the QB threw his 500th career touchdown.

Raudabaugh was also named to first team All-Arena.

"It's a no brainer that Dan deserved both awards," Dolezel said. "He was a leader in the locker room and worked extremely hard both on the field and off the field. We wouldn't have won, like we did this season, without him."

Adams, who was named to Philadelphia's "40 Under 40" this year, had the Soul near the top of the AFL in corporate sales, marketing and tickets departments.

The 35-year-old has been with the organization since its inaugural season in 2004.

"I am truly honored to accept this award," Adams said. "When it comes down to it, this is a team award because of the talent of the staff and the support and dedication of an enthusiastic ownership group."
