Villanova head coach Jay Wright is one of four finalists for the Naismith's Men's College Coach of the Year award, the Atlanta Tipoff Club announced Thursday.

Wright is competing with Kansas' Bill Self, Indiana's Tom Crean and Xavier's Chris Mack.

The winner will be announced April 3 at the Final Four in Houston.

Villanova enters the NCAA Tournament with a 29-5 record and faces 15-seed UNC Asheville on Friday at 12:40 p.m. in the first round.

Wright this season became the first coach to win three straight Big East Coach of the Year awards, sharing this one with Seton Hall's Kevin Willard. The Wildcats in February reached the No. 1 spot in the Associated Press Top 25 poll for the first time in team history. They were also ranked first in the USA Today Coaches poll and held the top spot in each for three weeks.

Wright also won the Naismith award in 2006 and was one of four finalists last year.
