JJ Watt visits Flyers after surgery (lower body), gets sweater

JJ Watt: Flyers forward?

Not quite.

The Houston Texans superstar defensive lineman was in the area on Friday, but it had nothing to do with football. Instead, Watt visited the Flyers practice facility, taking home a No. 99 Watt sweater in the process.

Watt came to Philly for groin surgery, which he underwent on Tuesday. He suffered the injury in the Texans' 30-0 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs and future Eagles head coach Doug Pederson.

After winning his second AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2014, Watt put together another strong campaign by recording 17.5 sacks and three forced fumbles for the AFC South champions.

But he's also no slouch with a hockey stick as seen here and here.

Here's some of the snapshots from the four-time All-Pro's day with the Flyers, who were preparing for a Saturday afternoon clash with the New York Rangers at the Wells Fargo Center.
