Joe Banner approves of Eagles offseason philosophy so far

The Eagles have made some solid moves to begin the start of free agency. Howie Roseman has been reminding some of early Sam Hinkie in terms of shedding higher priced talent for assets helpful in terms of building for the future through the draft.

And Roseman has added a handful of young players coming off of rookie contracts. It's a very different philosophy than Chip Kelly had last year in spending big money on DeMarco Murray and Byron Maxwell.

The Eagles' start this offseason is reminiscent of the Joe Banner days.

And, not surprisingly, current-day Joe Banner is on board with the philosophy behind the moves as he shared on Twitter on Wednesday.

That said, Banner also picked the Eagles to win the Super Bowl in 2015. That didn't work out so well.

His point seems accurate though: Howie may have this philosophy thing down quite well. But the real proof is in the talent evaluation.
