Maybe Amaro was right? Are you smarter than a Phillies fan?

Phillies fans were outraged -- OUTRAGED! -- when the team's general manager, one Ruben Amaro Jr., made disparaging comments about the fanbase. "They don't understand the game," were Ruben's exact words.

You know what? Ruben may have a point.

On this week's The700Level Show, John Gonzalez took his camera crew to the Reading Terminal Market to test some Phillies fans on their knowledge of the team.

The results, well, they're something. The best question that fans whiffed on was whether or not they thought Jim Kenney was ready to be brought up from the minors. This proves them doubly inept, given that they show they also don't know anything about politics in the city of Philadelphia either. Kenney, of course, just won the city's Democratic Primary for the Mayor's race and is likely to follow Michael Nutter as the next mayor of Philadelphia.

My second favorite response is the fan who thinks Jimmy Rollins shouldn't be moved up in the batting order. In her defense, she's not wrong exactly.

You can watch this week's entire episode below. It features a curious tale known as the Curse of Leila Rahimi and also another guest spot from WMMR's Casey Boy. Also, Jonathan Papelbon has a fantastic response to whether or not he is super... supersti... superstitious. 7:20 mark below.
