Philadelphia Eagles' 2018 championship rings among best

It’s all about the bling in sports, isn’t it?

Not only did the Los Angeles Rams get to add a Lombardi Trophy to their hardware collection, but they also received flashy championship rings.

Here’s a look at some of the other best championship rings that we’ve seen recently:

2022 Los Angeles Rams

The ring is inspired by SoFi Stadium, home of the Rams and where they won the championship. The shape of the ring reflects that of SoFi, and a twistable top reveals the bowl of the stadium inside.

The ring has the most diamond carat weight in NFL championship ring history, with approximately 20 carats of white diamonds situated on top of white and yellow gold, according to the Rams.

2016 Cleveland Cavaliers

With LeBron James coming back to The Land and winning the franchise’s lone championship, you had to know the rings would be special.

The rings, designed by Kay Jewelers and Baron Championship Rings, were made up of 216 diamonds each, representing the Cleveland area code. The left side of the ring had the Cleveland skyline running across it. The Detroit-Superior Bridge is featured on that side as well, with the number 52 underneath, in honor of the 52 seasons that the team failed to win a championship.

The bottom of the ring featured seven gems for the seven games in the finals. In addition, wine-colored garnets and white diamonds represented the team’s total wins and losses, respectively.

2018 Golden State Warriors

You could realistically put the 2015 or 2017 rings for the Warriors on here as well, but we’ll stick with just one for now.

The most unique part of Golden State’s 2018 championship rings is the twist-off feature. The players got a little greedy and couldn’t decide if they wanted a white or blue face for the ring, so designer Jason’s of Beverly Hills came up with a compromise -- a twist-off, reversible face of either 74 blue sapphires or 74 white diamonds, representing the number of total wins.

Also on the rings are two trophies, representing the back-to-back championships for the Warriors in 2017 and 2018. When you twist off the face, there is the engraved slogan “Strength in Numbers.”

2017 New England Patriots

The Patriots didn’t necessarily need another way to remind people of the 28-3 comeback over the Atlanta Falcons, but it was a featured part of their Super Bowl LI win.

Jostens included 283 diamonds per ring, as a reminder of that infamous score before the Patriots stormed back for the win.

Also included in the ring are the five Lombardi trophies of the franchise and infamous quotes from owner Robert Kraft, such as “Unequivocally the sweetest” and “We are all Patriots”.

2018 Philadelphia Eagles

Much like the Patriots paying homage to the 28-3 comeback, would it really be an Eagles’ championship ring for Super Bowl LII without something for the Philly Special

Jostens, the designer of the ring, included 127 diamonds on the bezel of the ring, the total number that you get if you combine the jersey numbers of Nick Foles (9), Corey Clement (30) and Trey Burton (88), the three players who touched the ball during that sensational play.

The trophy on the ring includes 16 diamonds, one for each of the team's victories in the season. On the inside of the ring is an underdog mask, a nod to Lane Johnson’s infamous headwear.

2020 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers became the first team to win the Super Bowl in their home stadium.

So, the stadium had to be well represented on their championship ring. And is it ever. The ring features a twist-off top that comes off to reveal a three-dimensional replica of Raymond James Stadium.

Etched on the bottom of the removable top is the word "HISTORIC" surrounded by a description of the history the team made.

"On February 7th 2021 history was made when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers became the first team to win the Super Bowl at home in Raymond James Stadium."

The ring, with 15 carats of white diamond and 14 karat yellow and white gold, is topped with a pair of Lombardi trophies for the organization's two titles and a Buccaneers flag.

2016 Chicago Cubs

You put a silhouette of your cursed Wrigley goat on your ring, you deserve some recognition.

The curse of the Cubs was broken in 2016, with not just the Wrigley goat ingrained in the championship jewelry. Also included were 108 round diamonds to commemorate the years between World Series.

On the ring, there is also an outline of the Wrigley ivy and brick wall, as well as the “Fly the W” flag on the side.

2019 Washington Nationals

A ring with a “baby shark'' in it? Sign us up.

With Gerardo Parra’s “Baby Shark” helping the Nationals to the World Series win in 2019, Jostens used a baby shark on the inside of the ring, with it holding the World Series trophy.

The Nationals’ ring also featured 32 sapphires to represent the seven walk-off wins, 13 shutout wins, eight-game winning streak and four postseason series wins. Etched on one side is the Roman numeral MMVI, in honor of 2006, the year the Lerner family purchased the team. On the back of the ring is the team slogan, “Go 1-0 Every Day”.

2020 Tampa Bay Lightning

Similar to the Warriors’ 2017 rings, the Tampa Bay Lightning’s 2020 rings come with a literal twist to them.

With the Stanley Cup in the middle of the face, if you twist it, it reveals a puck with two sticks and the word “Stockholm”, the site of the 2020 Global Series that the Lightning swept. The ring also features the words “Distant Thunder” on one side, a tribute to the nickname for the fans. Under the ring is the word “Gravy Train” representing the team’s locker room victory song by Yung Gravy.

There is also “216:14” etched on the inside, which is the total amount of overtime Tampa Bay played in the playoffs, which is an NHL record.
