Penn football had 11 players named to the All-Ivy team on Tuesday, four of which earned first-team honors. Head coach Ray Priore was also named Ivy League Coach of the Year.

The four players named to the first team for the co-Ivy League champion Quakers were quarterback Alek Torgersen, senior offensive lineman Tanner Thexton, receiver Justin Watson and senior linebacker Tyler Drake.

The junior Torgersen threw 19 touchdowns and ran for six more in his second season as the starting signal caller.

Watson, only a sophomore, had a monster season, hauling in 74 passes for 1,082 yards and nine touchdowns. He is only the third player in Penn's history to go over the 1,000-yard mark receiving.

Thexton started all 10 games and was the anchor of a line that only allowed 12 sacks all season.

Drake, the team captain, led the Ivy League with four forced fumbles, 12 1/2 tackles for a loss, and 8 1/2 sacks. His 17 1/2 career sacks rank sixth all-time in program history.

In his first year as a head coach anywhere, and replacing long-time coach Al Bagnoli, Priore led Penn to a 7-3 record overall. More importantly, the Quakers were 6-1 in the conference and won a three-way share of the title with Harvard and Dartmouth.

Penn's second teamers were senior defensive back Ian Dobbins, senior defensive lineman Lukas Nossem, senior tight end Ryan O’Malley, and junior offensive lineman Daniel Poulos.

Senior defensive lineman Dan Connaughton, junior offensive lineman Nick Demes, and junior linebacker Donald Panciello garnered honorable mention recognition.
