Shooting for Sixth: Collins' Club Looks to Salvage Your Sunday

If you need a palate cleanser after this today's gross Flyers loss at the hands of New York, you're in luck. The Sixers are back in action this evening with a 6:00 start time at the Wells Fargo Center as they take on the middling Golden State Warriors in a game that could help propel them into the 6th seed in the Eastern Conference.

The Sixers have continued their hot play of late on Friday night when an Andre Iguodala triple-double helped defeat the Timberwolves. Coach Collins' squad will look to continue their trend of defending their home court well against a club that hasn't faired well on the road.

The Warriors have lost at three of the first four stops on theirseason-high seven-game road trip and are 2-7 on the road against theEast since Nov. 11.

This could spell trouble, as the Sixers have won 19 of their last 25 home games, including an 8-3 mark against West opponents.

And those losses are against teams like the Lakers and Mavs. The Sixers have shown they know how to beat the teams they should on their home court. Hopefully they continue that tonight.

Prior to first tip tonight, the Sixers sit .5 game back from the Knicks in the East. New York will tip off later in the evening against the Hawks.
